Trent Alexander-Arnold: 6 - A huge injury concern over the Reds' favourite, who was replaced early on by Bradley.
Andy Robertson: 7 - Back in the team and made a couple of characteristic forays forward. Should have had an assist late on in the half.
Ibrahima Konate: 6 - Didn't always cope gracefully with the threat of Ollie Watkins. Lucky not to give a penalty away.
Virgil van Dijk: 7 - Instigated the attack which led to the opening goal with a beautiful through ball to Salah. Took a heavy tackle from Morgan Rogers.
Ryan Gravenberch: 9 - Made one marvellous intervention inside his own area to block off a Villa attack. A one-man intervention machine patrolling the midfield.
Curtis Jones: 7 - Didn't always find the space he likes to craft his midfield magic. Earned Tielemans a yellow card late in the first half.
Alexis Mac Allister: 7 - Given licence to get forward and kept things ticking over.
Mohamed Salah: 9 - Terrific breakaway for the opening goal and probably would have had Bailey sent off had Nunez not scored. Easily bested Lucas Digne in their one-on-one battle. Had a sneaky effort blocked by Pau Torres. Electrifying again.
Luis Diaz: 6 - Made good inroads down the left even if the ball across wasn't always perfect. Cursed by an air-kick when he could have scored.
Darwin Nunez: 8 - Finished powerfully from an acute angle after a lung-busting run. He needed that. Could have had a couple more in truth.
