Here’s all your latest Liverpool FC transfer news.

Trent Alexander-Arnold transfer plans

The scouser born Red is one of Liverpool’s greatest gems. Having joined the academy in 2004, he has formed a relationship with the fans which emits so much love and appreciation.

Trent needs Liverpool and Liverpool needs him.

But his tale may be coming to an end in the space of two months. According to Football Insider, the Reds may sell the right-back in January. This is because it would mean Liverpool secure some financial gain from the player instead of him leaving on a free in the summer.

Egyptian journalist Ismael Mahmoud is reporting on X that part of Salah’s decision to stay at home this week is because he and the club will be entering serious contract negotiations on a two-year deal.

“I've been told that Mohamed Salah staying at Liverpool during the international break will be very important for the club to begin serious contract renewal negotiations,” Mahmoud says.

“Been told too that Liverpool knows Salah is asking for a new two-year contract.”

Two more years of Salah would be a dream for Reds fans, taking his time at the club up to around his 35th birthday.

Brighton were 1-0 down at half-time of what was an uninspiring game against Manchester City on Saturday. The Seagulls struggled with City’s movement, especially in the middle of the pitch where Mateo Kovacic and Rico Lewis were able to find acres of space between the lines.

Enter Carlos Baleba.

The Cameroonian has been linked with a transfer to Liverpool before, and after his performance against City it’s easy to see why.

Baleba changed the game in Brighton's favour, grabbing control of midfield and giving his side a platform to attack as City took their foot off the gas.

The influence Fenway Sports Group (FSG) have had on the culture of Liverpool FC in the past 14 years has both united and divided fans.

John W. Henry and his cronies have acquired a reputation that doesn’t suit the ethos of a modern Premier League football team.

Famously, when it comes to spending money, they seem reluctant to splash the cash.

On rare occasions, such as the purchases of Virgil van Dijk for £85 million and Alisson for £62.5 million, we can see the owners' commitment to bettering the future of the club with signings who have solidified their status as club legends.

However recently, including this summer’s transfer window and the supposed lack of intent to settle certain players' contracts, the financial activity has completely stagnated.

This may have something to do with the latest news coming out of the Boston Red Sox camp which could ultimately concern Reds fans.
