Liverpool star reveals INSPIRATIONAL story after LeBron James meeting
Liverpool midfielder Curtis Jones shared a fantastic story after talking about his meeting with LeBron James. Jones met James from his courtside seat.
Curtis Jones took a trip to watch the USA Men's Basketball team in the summer while they held a scrimmage against Germany. It was in preparation for the Olympics and offered a unique chance for the Scouser to see some of the world's greatest players up close.
Jones, as it turns out, is a massive basketball fan but can hardly get across to see NBA games - the season runs just one month later than the Premier League's. The London scrimmage, though, gave him the opportunity to sit courtside.
He even met LeBron James, who is a minority partner in FSG, Liverpool's owners. The Los Angeles Lakers star continues to defy ageing, participating as the start of Team USA 21 years after his NBA debut.
Jones had a chat with James, while he explained exactly why he was so exciting to sit courtside.
"[We talked] about his game and that," he told LFCTV. "Like, it was good to watch it - I’ve been a big fan from a kid because I love basketball. And he was like ‘keep going’, this and that.
“Obviously, I was courtside as well, so it was a chance to see them up close and see the actual skill in the handles and all the little things like that. And how they move, how they set screens."
