Liverpool can raise MORE money after receiving £47m in summer transfer window

With the start of the new Premier League season just around the corner, it's time to take stock of what business Liverpool have completed during the transfer window.

Of course, after being rejected by Real Sociedad and Spain midfielder Martin Zubimendi earlier in the week, it means the Reds are the only club across the entire division yet to sign a first-team player this summer.

Therefore ahead of Saturday's opener against Ipswich Town, effectively the same squad that was available to former manager Jurgen Klopp for the final game of last season against Wolves will be at new head coach Arne Slot's disposal.

The encouraging news for the Dutchman is the transfer window remains open for another two weeks so there's plenty of time to bolster his squad amid links to Goncalo Inacio and Giorgi Mamardashvili.

Liverpool sales

Whilst there haven't been any new signings to welcome, Liverpool have done a fine job in raising cash so far this summer.

In fact, as pointed out by This Is Anfield writer Jack Lusby on X (formerly Twitter), the Reds have received up to £47m thanks to the permanent sales of Fabio Carvalho and Bobby Clark to Brentford and Red Bull Salzburg respectively, in addition to sell-on fees for Dominic Solanke, Kamil Grabara, Luis Alberto and Liam Millar.

Interestingly more money can be raised between now and deadline day as several senior players are being linked with exits.
