Jurgen Klopp shocked football fans around the world when he announced his decision to step down as Liverpool manager in January.

However, the 57-year-old’s departure initially served as a catalyst as the team went on an excellent run of form.

The Reds won the first available trophy in the League Cup and were in contention to win an unprecedented quadruple.

But a late season collapse ultimately saw them miss out on the Premier League, Europa League and FA Cup.

Arne Slot, who won the Eredivisie and KNVB Cup with Feyenoord, is now in charge at Anfield and he will be looking to make a great first impression in the upcoming pre-season fixtures.

Like many other English top-flight clubs, Liverpool are travelling to the United States for their 2024-25 pre-season.

The Merseyside giants will play their first friendly against Real Betis in Pittsburgh at the Acrisure Stadium on July 27.

Premier League rivals Arsenal are scheduled to play the Reds at the Lincoln Financial Field on August 1 ahead of another blockbuster game with Manchester United at the Brice Stadium three days later.

Liverpool will go head-to-head with Sevilla at Anfield in their final pre-season friendly on August 11 before their league opener against Ipswich Town on August 17.
