Liverpool found themselves 1-0 down within the opening 10 minutes but drew level in the 18th minute with a Virgil van Dijk header.

Arsenal regained their lead after Mikel Merino headed home a Declan Rice free-kick just before half time and the Gunners went into the break with the lead.

Liverpool looked much more solid in the second half and Darwin Nunez assisted Mohamed Salah for the equaliser in the 81st minute, sealing the point on the road for the Reds.

Arne Slot will be running out of forward options soon given Liverpool's injury crisis.

With uncertainty over the return of Diogo Jota and Slot not being able to give an exact return date for the Portuguese international, the Reds currently only have Darwin Nunez as an out and out no.9.

That means there is a fringe spot in the first team squad for another forward to come in and a 'special' talent who is on the verge of returning to action could soon seize his chance.

And when Danns returns while he is expected to initially train with the U21s to get himself into match fitness, Liverpool reporter, David Lynch has revealed that the young forward will also be promoted to the club's first team squad.

Former Liverpool boss Rafa Benitez has shared his thoughts on how well Liverpool have adapted to life under Arne Slot.

Slot is the first head coach in the club's history to win 11 out of his first 12 games in charge. He is also in charge of the first Liverpool team to win each of their opening six away fixtures in a season.

It is no secret that Slot had big shoes to fill succeeding Jurgen Klopp who was the first manager to return Champions League glory to Anfield in 2019 since Benitez 14 years earlier.

In a piece for BBC Sport, Benitez speaks on how impressed he's been with Reds so far without changing too much too soon. “We don't know yet how this Liverpool side will react to adversity under Slot, but I have been impressed by what I have seen so far" said the 64-year-old."
