Liverpool are firm favourites to lift the Premier League title this season under manager Arne Slot.

The Reds have been winning matches consistently, and they currently have a five-point lead at the top of the table.

With Arsenal and Chelsea both dropping points yesterday, Liverpool have a chance to further extend their lead by beating Manchester United in Sunday’s meeting at Anfield.

In a big boost for their fans ahead of the United clash, the Merseyside giants have made a huge contract offer to Trent Alexander-Arnold.

According to the Mirror’s John Richardson, Liverpool have offered the right-back a huge £78 million five-year contract to persuade him to stay at the club.

Real Madrid are determined to secure the 26-year-old’s services, having already lodged a bid for him.

But the Premier League outfit are not willing to part with their key player, as they have now submitted a huge offer.

There is a similar £300,000-a-week deal from Real for the England international, who can also expect a signing on fee if he joins them in the summer.

Alexander-Arnold faces a big decision on his future. He can either extend his stay at Anfield to further establish himself as a Kop idol or join the biggest club in world football to win the Ballon d’Or.

Alexander-Arnold has spent all his career at Liverpool, and he is considered as a generational talent.

He has made 333 appearances in all competitions, helping them win the Premier League and Champions League trophies.

Given his important role in the club’s successes over the years, fans would be devastated if he ends up leaving either in January or in the summer.
