Liverpool and Manchester United are set to be involved in the race to sign Fulham defender Antonee Robinson, according to GiveMeSport.

Both the clubs will be joined by Chelsea as they target a move for the left-back who has impressed the biggest clubs in England with his performances.

As per the report, Man United are ready to accelerate plans to sign the Fulham defender.

The Red Devils have splashed the cash on new signings this summer and they have extensively strengthened their squad.

Doing that has not translated into their form this season though, with Erik ten Hag’s team sitting in 12th position at the moment after their latest defeat against Tottenham.

The Fulham left-back has a long term contract at the club and that puts the Cottagers in a strong position.

Man United are intensifying their efforts to sign a new left-back after Luke Shaw’s constant injury issues and his back-up choice Tyrell Malacia also struggling with his fitness.

Diogo Dalot has been deployed in the left-back position this season and that has weakened the Man United defense and the balance of their side.

Fulham will demand around £40million for the United States international and it remains to be seen if Man United, Liverpool or Chelsea are willing to meet that.

The Red Devils are ready to open negotiations with Fulham over the possible signing of Robinson as they are well aware of the interest from Liverpool and Chelsea.

Liverpool have been targeting a move for a new left-back

Liverpool have left-back issues of their own with Andy Robertson not being the player he was a few seasons ago and his understudy Kostas Tsimikas failing to cement his place in the team at Anfield.

The race to sign Robinson could heat up soon and Fulham would love to see a bidding war for their defender.

Fulham manager Marco Silva has no intention to let the defender leave the club so any club interested in signing him would have to meet the demands set by the west London club.
