Liverpool drops major away and third kit release date hint as launch nears

Liverpool has dropped a major hint about the launch of the new away and third kits as the players prepare to head to the US for a pre season tour.

The club has already launched the new Nike home shirt and the away and third kits were originally expected to arrive in July before the club's first pre season game against Spanish side Real Betis in the US. However, the launch could now be early August despite Liverpool dropping a major hint about the new kits.

Liverpool's retail social media accounts posted a cryptic clue stating the new second and third shirts will be 'coming soon' and offered fans the chance to sign up to hear more about the new kit launches. The new kits will be available to see first here.

Liverpool insider @KB2X who has previously accurately predicted the new kit designs and launch dates, recently posted that the kit launch has been pushed back by the club until 2 August and fans can expect to see the new shirt in stores early on that date.

The new Nike away and third shirts have not been revealed by the club but a number of designs have already leaked online. The second kit, if the rumours are to be believed, will be black with light blue trim around the sleeves and grey panels on the sides of the shirt. The kit will featue the stripped back Liverpool badge featuring the Liver Bird and the club's initials.

Liverpool's third kit for the 2024/25 season will be white with grey pattern and red and yellow collar highlights. The collar is similar to the home shirt and the most notable addition is the Nike 'Swoosh' kit, which is vertical instead of horizontal. It is the design Nike has used on a number of third shirts in the new season and will be the first time a Liverpool shirt has featured the new logo design.

The new Liverpool home shirt is already on sale online and in the Liverpool FC stores across the world. The shirts are priced at £80 for an adult 'stadium' version and £120 for an authentic version. Children's shirts start from £55 for the new season. Adding player name and numbers costs £15 for the new Liverpool shirt.

Fans can already buy training shirts priced at £50, training tracksuit tops and goalkeeper kits for the new season. They are on sale at the Liverpool store here.
