Liverpool draws penalty in under 30 seconds to take lead in Champions League final (video)

Liverpool jumped ahead of Tottenham Hotspur ridiculously early in the Champions League final, drawing a penalty 23 seconds into the match and converting through Mohamed Salah.

Sadio Mane got free behind Tottenham’s defense and flicked a ball that hit the outstretched shoulder of Moussa Sissoko:

Salah stepped up to the spot and buried the penalty past Spurs keeper Hugo Lloris:

Liverpool, ironically enough, is still the victim of the fastest goal in Champions League final history, scored by AC Milan’s Paolo Maldini in 2005. The Reds fell behind 3-0 before scoring three times in the second half and rallying to win their fifth European crown.
