Liverpool boss not getting carried away and names Chelsea as one he fears going forward
Liverpool boss Arne Slot says he is not getting carried away with the current league table position and he fears a few clubs still, Chelsea included.
Slot’s side have now opened up a massive eight-point gap on Manchester City in the Premier League title race.

The Reds were not at their best in Sunday’s clash with Southampton but emerged from a dramatic encounter on the south coast with a crucial three points following a 3-2 victory.
Liverpool actually play Manchester City next week, with City off the back of five straight defeats and are in a bit of a rut right now.
Still, Slot insists things can change very quickly and name dropped the likes of Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham as potential rivals for the title.
Slot fears a few teams still
“I think it was later in the season that Arsenal led by eight points and City came back,” Slot said after the win yesterday in words picked up by The Evening Standard.
“You know if you face Arsenal, City, Chelsea or Tottenham who were great yesterday [winning 4-0 against City] and can win so many games in a row. It’s nice to have this position but we are definitely not getting carried away.”
The season is so long and it is still so early on, a lot of things can change going forward. Liverpool have gotten off to a great start, but other teams behind them have just not been good enough. It is all so close below the top side, and things can easily open up back there as well. The Premier League is tough, and it is all very tight right now even at the bottom of the table as well. Every team are looking like they can give another team a hard time at any given moment.
