NFL Week 1 scores: Dolphins top Jaguars with field goal as time expires, Bears win in Caleb Williams' debut

Sanders kicked a 52-yard field goal as time expired to complete the Dolphins comeback and get the win.

TJ Watt gets a sack on Kirk Cousins to seal the Steelers' win over the Falcons, while Jaylon Johnson gets an interception on Will Levis with a minute remaining to secure the Bears' victory over the Titans.

The Patriots let time run down, and Jerod Mayo gets his first win as New England's head coach with a 16-10 away win over the Cincinnati Bengals. Mayo gets a celebratory cooler bath from his players.

Anthony Richardson throws another deep pass for the Colts, getting in a 57-yard throw to Alec Pierce. Richardson eventually runs the ball in for a touchdown, getting Indianapolis within two points of the Texans.

Chicago gets its second pick-6 of the game to take the lead, with cornerback Tyrique Stevenson getting the interception and the 43-yard touchdown.

The Bears then successfully go for two, getting the 24-17 lead after originally going down 17-0 against the Titans.

CJ Stroud gets the ball to Stefon Diggs for a touchdown on 4th-and-goal, giving Houston a 29-20 lead over the Colts.

Cardinals running back DeeJay Dallas gets the first kickoff return touchdown of the dynamic kickoff era, running 96 yards to get Arizona back within four points of Buffalo.

Josh Allen gets another rushing touchdown to grow the Bills' lead, getting some air in the process.

Tyreek Hill seems to be treating being detained by police ahead of Sunday's game with a healthy sense of humor: The receiver hit a handcuff celebration with teammate Jaylen Waddle after Hill had a 80-yard touchdown.

After hitting a beautiful 60-yard throw in the first quarter, Richardson hits another long touchdown with a 54-yard throw to Ashton Dulin.

The Panthers make the score 10-37 after Bryce Young gets his head across the goal line with control of the ball.

The Dolphins get a big fumble at the goal line, and turn it into a magical touchdown. Tyreek Hill — thankfully no longer detained by police — gets a stunning 80-yard touchdown to bring the Dolphins within three points.

The starting quarterbacks are already showing out in Week 1. Steelers QB Justin Fields threw a big 40-yard pass to George Pickens under pressure, while Cardinals QB Kyler Murray got in a 29-yard run down the left side.

Texans QB CJ Stroud, meanwhile, scrambled around the Colts defense to through a tricky 19-yard pass to Nico Collins.

Jaylen Waddle, who briefly exited in the first half due to concussion concerns, connects with Dolphins QB Tua Tagovailoa for a massive 63-yard catch.

Safety Jordan Howden gets a big interception to give New Orleans back the ball. Running back Alvin Kamara then crossed the line in the end zone to give the Saints another touchdown, bringing the score to 37-3.

It's been a dominant performance from the Saints defense, forcing two interceptions off Panthers quarterback Bryce Young and recovering a fumble in the second quarter.

Anthony Richardson gets the ball to Jonathan Taylor for the touchdown, getting the Colts within two points of the Texans in the third. But a two-point conversion that would've tied the game is unsuccessful, leaving Indianapolis with a 15-13 deficit.

Chicago gets a bit special teams touchdown, with the Bears getting the punt block and Owens scooping it up for a score. The Bears cut through the deficit, now down 17-10 against the Titans.

The Bengals turn over on downs from a big tackle from Patriots cornerback Jonathan Jones. Cincinnati has fumbled twice so far this game already, and is currently lagging behind New England 13-0.

Steelers linebacker TJ Watt stays ready, taking advantage of a miscommunication to pounce on a fumbled Atlanta snap. From there, Pittsburgh is able to finish the drive with a big 56-yard field goal from Chris Boswell to take the 12-10 lead.

Allen throws to Mack Hollins on a smart route to get the easy touchdown and even things up at 17-all.

Patriots long snapper Joe Cardona gets a tackle that knocks the ball loose on a Bengals punt return and gives New England back the ball. The Patriots get a field goal off the renewed drive, leading 13-0.

Carr hits Juwan Johnson for the touchdown, as the Saints head into the locker room up 30-0 over the Panthers at halftime.

It was a close one, with Johnson holding on to being in-bounds by thiiiiis much.

The Chicago Bears just got one of the weirdest first downs of the season so far, with Caleb Williams' pass getting punted and eventually caught and then fumbled. Somehow, though the Bears recover the fumble and get themselves into the red zone. All's well that ends well, we suppose.

Dolphins receiver Jaylen Waddle was pulled from the first half of the game vs. the Jaguars to be evaluated for a concussion, but returned before the end of the second quarter.

DeAndre Carter put the new kickoff format to the test with an exciting 67-yard return, putting the Bears deep into Tennessee territory. Chicago is able to get a field goal from the possession, bringing the score to 17-3 Titans.

Josh Allen takes the ball himself, reaching into the end zone to give the Buffalo Bills their first touchdown of the season.

Following Dianna Russini reporting that the Packers had reached out to quarterback Ryan Tannehill, NFL Network's Tom Pelissero says that's not the case.

Green Bay appears to be fine with Malik Willis and Sean Clifford as Jordan Love is expected to miss six weeks at most with his sprained MCL.

What a way for Anthony Richardson to show he's back for the 2024 season. The second-year Colts QB launched a 60-yard rocket to Alec Pierce. And he slipped before making the throw!

This pass wouldn't count in college football, but Texans' QB CJ Stroud made an early highlight play. The second-year star slipped and fell to his knees, but still completed a fourth-down pass to Brevin Jordan.

Bryce Young probably wants his first throw of the 2024 season back. Missing Adam Thielen over the middle, the pass was picked off by the Saints' Will Harris.

Tyreek Hill did start the Dolphins' Week 1 game versus the Jaguars and has already caught one pass. But the Miami-Dade police department issued a statement on officers handcuffing and detaining the receiver this morning outside Hard Rock Stadium.

Ja'Marr Chase is active for the Bengals, but Cincinnati will be missing its other top receiver as Tee Higgins is out with a hamstring injury.

The Green Bay Packers are planning to start Malik Willis for its Week 2 matchup with the Colts while Jordan Love recovers from his MCL sprain expected to sideline him for two to four weeks.

However, the team is also exploring veteran options. Ryan Tannehill is the likely the most appealing QB available and the Packers have checked in with him, according to The Athletic's Dianna Russini

No. 1 pick Caleb Williams leads the Chicago Bears out of the tunnel for their Week 1 opener versus the Tennessee Titans.

The rookie QB is one of eight captains for the team, selected by teammates.

Kendrick Lamar announced on social media that he will be the halftime performer for Super Bowl LIX on Feb. 9.

Lamar was part of the Super Bowl halftime show three years ago, co-headlining with Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Bilge and Eminem in 2022. This time, it's his show alone.
