Live updates: Kentucky vs. Texas college football
The Kentucky Wildcats visit Austin for an SEC college football game against the No. 3-ranked Texas Longhorns. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. on ABC.

Kentucky-Texas scoring
1Q-10:00-Texas 7-0: Texas goes 75 yards in 10 plays on opening drive to take the lead. On fourth-and-2 from the 3-yard line, quarterback Quinn Ewers found tight end Gunnar Helm in the back of the end zone for the score. Texas wide receiver Matthew Golden caught three passes for 53 yards on the drive. Missed tackles by Maxwell Hairston and Jamon Dumas-Johnson hurt Kentucky.
2Q-11:36-Tie 7-7: Kentucky also on a fourth-and-2 as Brock Vandagriff finds tight end Josh Kattus for a 4-yard touchdown with 11:36 left in first half. UK drove 73 yards in nine plays to tie the score at 7-7. A 42-yard pass from Vandagriff to Ja’Mori Maclin was a key play.
2Q-6:39-Texas 14-7: An unsportsmanlike conduct penalty against Kentucky’s Maxwell Hairston turned a fourth-and-9 at the UK into a 1st-and-goal at the 5 for the Longhorns. Jaydon Blue scored on a 5-yard run with 6:39 left in the first half to give Texas a 14-7 lead.
2Q-3:12-Texas 21-7: Jelani McDonald’s interception of Vandagriff at UK 34 set up the Longhorns’ next score. Ewers hit Helm for the tight end’s second TD, this one from 17 yards out with 3:12 left in the first half.
2Q-0:10-Texas 24-7: Bert Auburn kicks a season-long 49-yard field goal to complete a 40-yard drive and give the Longhorns a 17-point lead.
3Q-2:41-Texas 24-14: Jamon Dumas-Johnson returns a fumble 25 yards for a Kentucky touchdown. The ball looked like it slipped out of the hands of Texas quarterback Ewers as he was attempting to pass.
4Q-3:10-Texas 31-14: Texas goes 86 yards on 15 plays, all of them running plays, with Quintrevion Wisner scoring on a 4th-and-goal form the 1-yard line. Wisner has rushed for 158 yards on 26 carries.

Records: Kentucky is 4-6 overall and 1-6 in the SEC. Texas is 9-1 overall and 5-1 in the SEC.
Series: Texas leads 1-0. The Longhorns defeated UK 7-6 on September 22, 1951, in Austin. Bear Bryant was the Kentucky coach. Ed Price was the Texas coach.
Coaches: Mark Stoops is in his 12th season as UK’s head coach. He is 767-71, not counting games vacated in the 2021 season. Steve Sarkisian is in his fourth season as the Texas head coach. Sarkisian is 34-15 with the Longhorns. He was previously the head coach at Washington, where he was 34-29 from 2009 through 2013, and Southern Cal, where he was 12-6 in 2014-15. Sarkisian was an All-American quarterback at BYU.
Coordinators: Bush Hamdan is UK’s offensive coordinator. Brad White is Kentucky’s defensive coordinator. Sarkisian calls the plays for Texas but Kyle Flood is the Longhorns’ offensive coordinator. Pete Kwiatkowski is Texas’ defensive coordinator.
Passing leaders: Texas quarterback Quinn Ewers has completed 169 of his 242 passes (68.4%) for 1,898 yards and 21 touchdowns with six interceptions. Kentucky’s Brock Vandagriff has completed 122 of 211 passes (57.8%) for 1,542 yards with nine touchdowns and seven interceptions.

Rushing leaders: Demie Sumo-Karngbaye leads Kentucky in rushing with 505 yards on 109 attempts. He has rushed for five touchdowns. Texas running back Quintrevion Wisner has rushed for 468 yards on 98 carries with two touchdowns.
Receiving leaders: Tight end Gunnar Helm leads Texas in receiving with 37 catches for 493 yards and five touchdowns. Dane Key leads UK’s receivers with 44 catches for 686 yards and two touchdowns.
Specialists: Kentucky’s Alex Raynor is a perfect 15-for-15 on field goals. His long is 55 yards. Texas kicker Bert Auburn is 8-for-11 on field goals with a long of 45 yards.
Trends: Kentucky snapped a four-game losing streak last week, but it has lost three straight SEC games. Texas has won three straight, all SEC games.
