CONCEIÇÃO: "WE MUST BE READY"

The Rossoneri's season does not stop. Tomorrow - Saturday 18 January at 18.00 CET - we will face Juventus in matchday 21 fixture. Before the match in Turin, we have the press conference of Coach Conceição, live on AC Milan Official App and Milan TV from 13:30.

ATTENTION AND MOTIVATION
"Sometimes we concede due to the smaller details. We need to go into games thinking that you can win or lose. In the history of this Club, there have been some gret players who have won 7 Champions Leagues. Every win here gives you the feeling that you can win. Three years ago, the Club won the Scudetto and we've now added a Supercoppa. Every detail is important. This is the message to everyone: we need to be hungry to get a result. Our opponents will always be ready, so mentality is important. We're representing AC Milan and that should be motivation in and of itself."

BALANCE IN MIDFIELD
"Every player needs to combine with the others. I don't think that Benncaer and Fofana cannot play together, quite the opposite. They will both be on the pitch in Turin. They can play together, they just need to understand what do in possession so that we can attack with balance. It's something that we want as a team so that we don't afford our opponents too many chances to counter. If we play with three in midfield, we need to stretch the game. Sometimes you get that from a winger, sometimes from a full-back and maybe even a midfielder. It's a necessary stretching of the game."

TRANSFER WINDOW AND THE LEAGUE
"I don't like the January transfer window. It creates discord for the players. There are things we can change and it's good that we are able to do so, but it's not the most important thing. I'm speaking with the board and we're agreed on what we need, but it's not easy to alight on options that can help the group and give it something more. There's a lot of talk. The window is open and I understand the curiosity. But my focus is on the game against Juventus. What I want most is a win."

THE CAPTAIN'S ARMBAND
"It doesn't matter to me; a 17-year-old keep and a 35-year-old should have the same responsabilities and everyone needs to speak up. The captain could be Mike or Theo or Calabria, but they shouldn't worry about this. Maignan, for example, only needs to worry about not conceding - this is his primary objective. He's got a lot of personality and is a winner. The same goes for Theo; he's broken a record set by a legend in Maldini. I like to coach these players."

PULISIC
"I don't want to bluff, he is unavailable. He still feels a bit of a strain and we don't want to risk aggravating it for the sake of 20 minutes."

CAMARDA
"He's a young player with a long way to go and a lot of work ahead of him. He has a great foundation: quality, talent and desire."

RAFA'S FORM
"I think it's linked to training. They do recovery the day after a game and then, on day 2 and 3, you're already talking about the next game. I spoke to him today. He excels in the fitness tests but he can give a lot more at this level. He's growing as a player and the results will come. I don't want him to be content with ten goals; he needs to try to get 20. He knows what he has to work on. He understands that and, for me, it's a great start."

4-4-2
"The team isn't used to it. We may look at going 4-2-4 and taking a risk. When we have to win I do it because I believe that drawing means two points dropped. When we take risks, we open up at the back: balance is important. With time, we'll evaluate it. It's a system that I like. I've used it for years; it's very balanced but you need the characteristics to suit it. It wouldn't make sense to choose this system with the players we have."

TURIN AFTER RIYADH
"These are two good sides with talented players, but every game is different. We've not had much time but we're working on the smaller things, which is important for me. We have a lot of big games in the coming month. We have deciders in the Champions League and Coppa Italia, while in the league want to move up the table. We need to be ready to go after our objectives. From that game in Riyadh, I want to see that same spirit of not letting our opponents have much. We reacted well that day and got on the front foot, even if we did then allow them to get at our penalty area a bit more. We need to be alert. I want to see a solidity at the back and a desire to attack the opposition goal."
