LISTEN: French commentators react to Steph Curry's gold medal game performance

Team USA's Stephen Curry bedeviled the French men's national basketball team on Saturday in the teams' gold medal game.

Just ask the French commentators from Saturday's game:

"This devil named Curry is hurting us."

That was one of several calls from French commentators who were in disbelief of Curry. The Warriors guard hit four 3-pointers in the final 2:47 of the gold medal game to help lead the United States to a 98-87 victory over France at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

In all, Curry scored 24 points on 8-of-12 shooting from beyond the arc in the game. It was an impressive follow-up to his 36 points — including nine 3-pointers — in the semifinal game against Serbia. Thanks in large part to Curry's lights-out shooting, the U.S. won its fifth straight gold medal in men's basketball, dating back to the 2008 Beijing Games.
