Lions WR Golladay, CB Okudah inactive vs. Bears

NFL: Detroit Lions at Denver Broncos

Pro Bowl wide receiver Kenny Golladay and prize rookie cornerback Jeff Okudah have been ruled inactive for the Detroit Lions' season-opening game against the visiting Chicago Bears on Sunday.

Matthew Stafford's top target in 2019, Golladay was limited on Wednesday and unable to practice Thursday and Friday due to a hamstring injury.

Golladay, 26, had 65 receptions for 1,190 yards and 11 touchdowns last season to earn Pro Bowl honors for the first time in his career.

Okudah, who was the third overall pick of the 2020 NFL Draft, also is nursing a hamstring injury that arose on Wednesday. He was limited in practice on both Thursday and Friday.

Golladay and Okudah were joined by offensive tackle Halapoulivaati Vaitai, tight end Hunter Bryant, safety C.J. Moore, offensive guard Logan Stenberg and running back Jonathan Williams on the Lions' list of inactives.

Chicago ruled out cornerback Duke Shelley, offensive guard Arlington Hambright, tight end Eric Saubert, wide receiver Riley Ridley, linebacker Robert Quinn and defensive end Mario Edwards Jr.
