Lille have accepted an offer of €62m from Manchester United for Leny Yoro, defender now in negotiations over wages
Ligue 1 club Lille have accepted an offer totalling €62 million from Manchester United for centre-back Leny Yoro, according to French journalist Nabil Djellit. The 18-year-old is now in talks with the Red Devils to discuss personal terms, and while Real Madrid are still very much in the picture, Man United have emerged as favourites in the race for the Frenchman. The Old Trafford club will be parting with an initial €50m for the services of Yoro, while another €12m will arrive as add-ons if some conditions are met going forward.

Getting the teenage sensation to agree to join Man United has been the bone of contention for a while as moving to Madrid have always been more appealing to him, but the La Liga club have not pushed for him as much as Lille and the player had hoped. The Red Devils have continued to keep tabs on the situation and appear to have finally gotten a breakthrough. Man United manager Erik ten Hag wants to bolster his centre-back options this summer following the exits of Raphael Varane and Willy Kambwala, and
Yoro is one of his serious targets. Lille are ready to do business as they are unwilling to lose Yoro for free next summer, but the ball remains in his court as far as choosing his next club is concerned.
It appears the youngster is now willing to join the Red Devils, and agreeing personal terms with him should not be an issue if both clubs have indeed reached an agreement over a fee. Man United have already brought in the Netherlands international forward Joshua Zirkzee from Bologna and Yoro could be next if everything goes according to plan.
