Lightning's Brayden Point scratched vs Boston Bruins, prospect called up from Syracuse

The Tampa Bay Lightning announced on Tuesday night that Brayden Point would be a healthy scratch agains the Boston Bruins after missing a team meeting.

Point did not take power play reps at morning skate on Tuesday morning, giving indication that he may not play. The Lightning's top center has been a key piece to their offensive firepower this season, playing in 37 games, recording 25 goals and 22 assists. He currently leads the NHL in power play goals and is tied for third in total goals.

In addition to scratching Point, the Lightning called up forward Jack Finley from the Syracuse Crunch on Tuesday morning. Finley was originally drafted 57th overall by Tampa Bay, in the second round of the 2020 NHL Draft. He's skated in 10 games with the Crunch this season, scoring two goals and six points total.
