Lightning Should Swing Trade For Ducks Star
The Tampa Bay Lightning currently have an 18-10-2 record and have won four straight games. With the club being right in the playoff race, it seems quite likely that they will be buyers as we get closer to the 2025 NHL Trade Deadline.

When looking at the Lightning's roster, it is fair to argue that they would benefit by adding to their middle six. Because of this, one specific player they should seriously consider making a push for is Anaheim Ducks forward Frank Vatrano.
Vatrano, 30, is a player who has the potential to be traded before the deadline. This is because he is a pending unrestricted free agent on a Ducks club that should be sellers.
If the Lightning acquired Vatrano, he could be an excellent fit on their second line. However, he also could work on their third line and give them more secondary scoring. In addition, he would be a clear option for their power play because of his offensive skill.
Vatrano has appeared in 30 games this season with the Ducks, posting nine goals, 17 points, and 84 hits. This is after he set career highs last season with 37 goals, 23 assists, and 60 points in 82 games.
Overall, when playing at his best, Vatrano puts the puck in the net and is never shy to throw the body. This could make him a great addition for a team with high expectations like the Lightning.
