Lightning Superstar Is Hitting New Level
The Tampa Bay Lightning are having a strong season thus far, as their 20-12-2 record indicates. A significant reason for their success has been the play of superstar forward Brayden Point.

Point, 28, is playing some truly incredible hockey right now. The 2014 third-round pick is currently tied for second in the NHL in goals with Kirill Kaprizov and William Nylander, with 23 in just 30 games. Point has played fewer games than both Kaprizov (34 games) and Nylander (38 games) as well.
However, besides continuing to put the puck in the net, Point also has 43 points on the year. With these numbers, he is on pace to crush his current career highs of 51 goals and 95 points, which he set in 2022-23.
As excellent of an offensive player Point has been throughout his career, he is hitting an even higher level this campaign. If he keeps this up, it will undoubtedly be a campaign to remember for the superstar forward.
We will now need to wait and see how Point builds on his dominant 2024-25 season from here.
