Lightning start roadtrip with a matchup against Toronto
The Lightning begin the first night of their four-game roadtrip in a Monday night game against the Toronto Maple Leafs. Three of the Lightning’s next four games are Atlantic Division matchups, and with a 3-6-0 divisional record thus far, those are points they want to grab.
The Lightning recalled defenseman Max Crozier from the Syracuse Crunch on Monday. In addition, Erik Cernak was not present at morning skate, giving an indication that he may not be available to play Monday night.
Cernak left Tuesday in the Lightning's win over Anaheim after just one shift. His injury is undisclosed, but he is considered to be day-to-day.
Jonas Johansson is expected to be the starting goaltender for the Lightning. They currently hold the third place spot in the Atlantic, but the race has tightened in the new year with Ottawa, Montreal, Boston and Detroit all closely behind.
Joseph Woll is expected to get the start for Toronto. Head coach Craig Berube told reporters after morning skate that Max Pacioretty is considered day-to-day with an injury.
