So far, Guentzel has been just that, and he has now made some Lightning history in the process.
After recording a helper on Nikita Kucherov's second-period goal against the Pittsburgh Penguins, Guentzel became just the second Bolt in team history to record 20 goals and 20 assists in his first 40 games with the club.
According to NHL Public Relations, the only other Lightning player to achieve this feat was former forward Brian Bradley, who had 29 goals and 50 points in his first 40 games with Tampa Bay.

Guentzel later recorded the primary assist on Nick Paul's empty-net goal against the Penguins. With this, he now has 21 goals and 21 assists in 40 games this season with the Bolts.
Guentzel has been such an incredible addition to the Lightning's roster, and this latest achievement only proves that further.
