Lightning recall Max Crozier, Erik Cernak not at morning skate ahead of matchup vs Toronto

The Tampa Bay Lightning have recalled defenseman Max Crozier from the Syracuse Crunch. In addition, Erik Cernak was not present at morning skate, giving the indication that he may not be available to play Monday night against Toronto.

Cernak left Tuesday night in the Lightning's win over Anaheim after just one shift. The nature of his injury is undisclosed, but he is considered to be day-to-day.

“The news was more promising than I guess we anticipated in the beginning, so we hope he'll be able to play in a road trip," Jon Cooper said on Saturday after morning skate.

Crozier made his NHL season debut on January 18 against Detroit, finishing the game with 14:25 of ice time. He's skated in 22 games with the Crunch this season, recording three goals and nine points with a plus-5 rating. Crozier was originally drafted by Tampa Bay, 120th overall, in the fourth round of the 2019 NHL Draft.
