Lightning Should Have Gritty Predators Defender On Radar

November has not gone the way the Tampa Bay Lightning would have liked it to after a very positive start to the season. Tampa Bay has managed to win only four out of the 11 games they have played thus far. While the Bolts' goal differential has been solid this season, their defense has sometimes looked shaky. With Tampa Bay constantly looking to improve their backend play, they should have Nashville Predators defender Jeremy Lauzon on their radar.

While the Tampa Bay Lightning defensive pairings look solid on paper, what they have lacked in consistency the most this season is a physical threat. Lauzon is a defender known for his physicality and would be an ideal addition to the lineup because of this. The 27-year-old defenseman has laid out 103 hits through his 22 games, a stat that would easily put him first on the team in Tampa Bay.

What the Lightning would give the Predators in return for a potential trade remains to be seen, given the season is very young and Nashville is dead last in the NHL. That also allows the Lightning time not to have to pull the trigger on a deal, giving them a cushion to improve their play in the meantime. However, if they want end up wanting to add more bite to their blueline before the deadline passes, Lauzon is someone they should make a push for.
