Lightning forward Alex Killorn trolls Canadiens by taking Stanley Cup to Bell Centre

Stanley Cup celebrations are getting a little old for the Tampa Bay Lightning, so forward Alex Killorn decided to spice it up a little bit.

After the Lightning were able to hoist the Cup for the second consecutive year a couple months ago, the trophy has been making its rounds across the globe with each player given the ceremonial single day for some one-on-one time with the historic monument.

While visiting his hometown of Beaconsfield, Que., a suburb just outside of Montreal, Killorn paid a quick visit to the home of the team the Lightning stomped on their way to their third championship in franchise history.

Hoisting hockey’s most desired trophy above his head right outside the home arena of the Montreal Canadiens, Killorn had to take the chance for an Instagram photo op and remind all Habs fans once again what they were just three wins away from.

After Killorn did his trolling to a massive fan base, the Lightning players turned up the Quebecois knob from 10 to 11.

Forward Mathieu Joseph, born in nearby Laval, Que., didn’t opt for the typical beer, champagne, or any standard cocktail for his personal consumption out of the bowl of the Cup. He instead chowed down on his home province's local delicacy: poutine.

Some would say you couldn’t find a more Canadian picture, featuring the country’s greatest export and hockey’s greatest trophy, and those people would be correct.

At least Montreal gets to have hometown players lift the trophy, just not its hometown team.
