Lightning Have Big Move To Make
The Tampa Bay Lightning made an array of moves this past off-season. They notably added some significant pieces like Jake Guentzel, J.J. Moser, Ryan McDonagh, and Conor Geekie. However, it is fair to argue that they should aim to make another significant move during this season.
When looking at the Lightning's current roster, it is apparent that they would benefit greatly by adding another top-six winger to their roster. They have had some trouble finding a permanent solution at the second-line right wing spot, so once the trade deadline gets closer, it would not be particularly surprising if they browse the market for forward help.
The Lightning are no strangers to using the trade market later in the season to improve their roster. For example, when they needed a top-six winger last season, they acquired Anthony Duclair from the San Jose Sharks as a rental. Thus, GM Julien BriseBois is not afraid to make a splash when needed.
It will be interesting to see if the Lightning end up landing another top-six winger before the trade deadline passes. There is no question that they could use another one.
