Will Levis injury update: Titans QB returns after hurting shoulder vs. Jaguars

The Tennessee Titans went into halftime of their Week 14 matchup with the Jacksonville Jaguars boasting a 3-0 lead.

However, Tennessee wasn't feeling too good after its quarterback, Will Levis, suffered an injury on the final play of the half.

Levis was injured after Jaguars edge rusher Josh Hines-Allen broke into the backfield and hit Levis from behind with just seven seconds left in the half.

Levis remained down for a while after hitting the ground hard. He was able to get up and walk off the field under his own power, but he was significantly nursing his right shoulder, which he was holding onto and attempting not to move.

Here's what to know about Levis' injury and how the Titans might replace him if he can't return.

Will Levis injury update

Levis returned to the Titans-Jaguars game after halftime. He didn't miss a play because of when his injury occurred but went 0-for-2 passing on his first drive back in the game.

The Titans did not immediately provide an update on Levis' condition at halftime. He was later listed as questionable with a shoulder injury.

However, Levis was seen throwing coming out of the locker room at halftime, per ESPN's Turron Davenport. That was a sign that he was planning to return to the game.

Levis was 9-of-13 passing for 86 yards before he left the game. He was sacked just once, on the play where he got injured.

Titans QB depth chart: Who is Will Levis' backup?

Mason Rudolph is Levis' backup and would replace him if Levis were ruled out of the game. The former Pittsburgh Steelers quarterback went 1-2 in three starts in place of Levis earlier in the 2024 NFL season and completed 59.4% of his passes for 806 yards, four touchdowns and four interceptions in those three starts.

The Titans have two quarterbacks on their 53-man roster. Their third-string quarterback is veteran Trevor Siemian, who currently resides on the team's practice squad.
