Levi Recalled From Rochester, Starts In Toronto
The Buffalo Sabres after losing their ninth straight game in Washington on Saturday have recalled goalie Devon Levi from the Rochester Americans of American Hockey League on Sunday afternoon. Levi was sent down by the Sabres in mid-November after the re-acquisition of James Reimer off of waivers from Anaheim and went 7-1-1, with a 2.08 GAA, .916 save % and two shutouts.
Levi played for the Amerks in Belleville on Friday and head coach Lindy Ruff indicated that he made his way to Toronto on Saturday, while the Sabres played in Washington on Saturday.

"When we sent him down, we wanted to get him playing.," Ruff said. "(There was an) opportunity with us getting in at 2am that he could be here rested versus everybody else coming in tired."
Ruff confirmed that Levi will make the start against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Sunday afternoon. Toronto also played on the road on Saturday, losing 4-2 to the Red Wings in Detroit. The Leafs placed goalie Anthony Stolarz on injured reserve on Sunday, and with Joseph Woll starting in Detroit, Toronto youngster Dennis Hildeby will make his third NHL start.
Somehow Devon Levi kept this puck out of the net.
One of the most unreal stick saves you’ll ever see en route to his first career shutout
