Lethbridge Hurricanes Acquire Vegas Golden Knights Prospect Jordan Gustafson
The Lethbridge Hurricanes added some experience on Friday, acquiring Vegas Golden Knights prospect Jordan Gustafson from the Seattle Thunderbirds. In return, Seattle receives forward Hayden Pakkala, a fifth-round draft pick in 2025, a third-round draft pick in 2026 and a third-round draft pick in the 2028 WHL Prospects Draft. Gustafson has been in the AHL since the start of the season but has yet to make his debut for the Henderson Silver Knights.
Gustafson has a long track record of success at the WHL level. The 2022 third-round pick has 55 goals and 127 points in 154 games and was part of the Thunderbirds team that went to the 2023 Memorial Cup. A signed prospect, Gustafson was Seattle's captain last season, recording 28 points in 32 games during the 2023-24 season.

As for Pakkala, the 20-year-old forward has 12 points in 29 games this season. Over his 225-game career, Pakkala has 37 goals and 85 points split between the Hurricanes and the Prince Albert Raiders. Pakkala was a seventh-round pick by the Kootenay ICE in 2019 and was acquired by Lethbridge in January for a 2027 third-round pick.
