Leon Draisaitl Stays Hot versus Devils, Predators Burn Kings in Monday Best Bets

Monday has a condensed slate of NHL action with just two games on the card. Despite the limited options, we've still managed to find some favourable selections for our Best Bets that should hopefully win you some cash. The Kings travel to the Music City to take on the Predators while the Oilers look to win both legs of a back-to-back when hosting the Devils.

Our picks haven't cooled off yet as we extend our hot streak to 14-6 over our last 20 picks and 29-16 over our last 45 picks. We hope to continue helping readers stay in the green this season.

All betting lines are from Bet365 and are subject to change. Hockey is a difficult sport to predict so please gamble responsibly.

Bet: Predators ML (-150), Kings Predators Over 6.0 goals (-115), Predators Over 3.5 goals (+105)

The Predators have won 13 of their last 17 games against the Kings, including wins in four of their last five matchups as well as three straight wins at home. This game should favor them as they enter winning four of their last six games and will look to stay hot in a matchup they normally dominate.

The Kings have also been hot with a 5-2-1 record over their last eight games. The total is set low for this one with even odds for over/under 6.0 goals. The Kings and Predators rank 22nd and 24th in goals against average respectively and could mean goals but Nashville is averaging 2.64 goals per game.

I think this should get negated by LA's Darcy Kuemper, who has allowed 16 goals over his last four starts this season and has allowed three or more goals in five of his last eight career starts versus Nashville.

In the opposite net, Juuse Saros has a killer record in this matchup with a 6-2-1 record with a goals against average of 2.52 and a save percentage of .924 in nine career games versus LA. The better netminder should have an effect on the game with Nashville earning a much needed win.

Bet: Oilers ML (+110), Devils Oilers Under 6.5 goals (-110), Leon Draisaitl anytime goal (+110)

The Oilers won another Battle of Alberta Sunday when they narrowly edged out the Flames for a 4-2 victory. They battled and fought hard for the win and will make people question if they will be fatigued when playing a dangerous Devils team the very next day.

The Oilers have won nine of their last 14 matchups versus the Devils with wins in six of their last eight matchups at home. They won't have superstar forward Connor McDavid in the lineup but it shouldn't matter as the Oilers have won both games since he's been sidelined and have outscored their opponent nine to three during that span.

They will need to keep a dangerous Devils team at bay as their top ten offence has a 3.57 goals per game average. Edmonton should be able to get the job done as they will have Calvin Pickard start in net Monday. The 32-year-old journeymen has a 3-1-0 record and a 2.47 goals against average to start the season.

New Jersey will start their big offseason acquisition in Jacob Markstrom between the pipes after starting with a 2.62 goals against average through his first ten games this season.

People will expect a tired Oilers team with 82 per cent of the bets on the total for this game being on the over but I expect one of these goaltenders to stand on their head in a very tight low-scoring game.

Edmonton's Leon Draisaitl has been on fire as of late with six goals and four assists for ten points over his last five games. He's found his scoring touch as of late and should find it again versus New Jersey, who he has ten goals against in their last 13 matchups.
