Leigh's Chamberlain to join Hull FC from next season

Hull FC have signed experienced Leigh Leopards centre Ed Chamberlain on a permanent three-year deal from 2025.

Ireland international Chamberlain, who played in Leigh’s Challenge Cup-winning side in 2023, spent a two-match loan spell with the Black & Whites earlier this season.

The 28-year-old has scored 21 tries in 53 games for the Leopards, having also featured for Salford Red Devils over a four-year period.

Hull FC director of rugby Richie Myler told the club website: "We were really impressed with Ed’s attitude and application – even though he was only with us for two games, he slotted in well.

"Centre is a position we’re keen to strengthen and add some further depth to and he does that for us. He also brings some versatility, which is always an added bonus in the modern game."

Chamberlain, who has made more than 130 senior appearances in his career, is the second Leopards player to sign for Hull FC in as many days, with Zak Hardaker’s move confirmed on Monday.
