Leicester to rival Tottenham in the race to sign Amir Richardson from Reims
According to The Athletic, Leicester City are one of many clubs showing an interest in signing Stade de Reims midfielder Amir Richardson (22) this summer. The Morrocan international is free to pursue opportunities after his nation were knocked out by Spain in the hunt for a gold medal at the Olympics.
The Foxes are not the only Premier League club interested in a move for Richardson. Foot Mercato reports that Tottenham Hotspur have also shown an interest in the highly-rated 22-year-old. The North London club have been evaluating the possibility of a move while he impressed at the 2024 Olympic Games. The midfielder has also been attracting interest from Italy.
Return on investment
Reims are ready to receive a healthy return on their investment in Richardson. After signing the Morrocan midfielder for a fee of €2m, the Ligue 1 club are set to entertain offers in the region of €15m for the 22-year-old, The Athletic report. That would be a handsome return of €13m if a move was to materialise for the former Le Havre player.
