Leicester City have completed the signing of Belgian international defender Sari Kees on a three-year deal.

WSL Full-Time were informed of the news via an official club press release from The Foxes this afternoon.

Kees joins Leicester City from Belgian club OH Leuven where she has spent the majority of her senior playing career to date. The defender came through the club’s youth ranks to go on to establish herself as a first team regular.

On the international stage, Kees has been capped by Belgium on 30 occasions and she has scored five goals for her country.

After completing her move to Leicester City, Kees said “This is a really big opportunity for me coming here from OH Leuven. I have been here twice before with Leuven and the vibes were really good. Now I get the chance to play here and I’m looking forward to getting started.

“In this league, every weekend you have another competitive game to look forward to. A lot of results can happen and it’s a beautiful chance for me. I like to play attractive football and battle in duels, and hopefully I can bring that to the team.”

Kees becomes Leicester City’s third signing of the summer transfer window.
