Turns out Cristiano Ronaldo is still a bit good. Even at the age of 33, the Real Madrid star continues to smash it on the big stage, and on Tuesday night scored one of the Champions League’s greatest ever goals.

Having already opened the scoring at Juventus in the quarter-final first leg the Portueguese doubled his and Real’s tally on the night with a spectacular bicycle kick just after the hour mark.

It all but ended the tie as a contest (before Marcelo’s third really settled things late one) and the Juventus Stadium rose to a man to applaud the former Manchester United star.

“Are You Not Entertained!?!?!,” the Cleveland Cavaliers star tweeted, in a nod to Russell Crowe Maximus Aurelius in Gladiator. “That’s just not even fair. Nasty!!,” he added.

He wasn’t the only sports star to be wowed by Ronaldo’s acrobatics. Manchester United’s Marcus Rashford echoed James’ sentiments on social media, tweeting: “Cristiano Ronaldo is a joke. What a player!” while Ruud Gullitt and even Franco Baresi got involved.

Ronaldo is arguably having his best ever seasons, having now scored in a record 10 consecutive UEFA Champions League matches and took his overall goal tally to 39 across all competitions this season.
