League's Best Betting Team Should Cover Saturday After Rattling Trade

Bet: Ducks +1.5 (-165)

The Ducks have quietly been one of the best betting teams in the NHL this season with a 19-9 record against the puck line this season. This has also been the case for the Blue Jackets, who are 16-13 against the spread.

This will be a tough game to call as the Ducks are due for a win with five straight losses and making significant roster moves like adding former Rangers captain Jacob Trouba and dealing longtime Duck Cam Fowler to the Blues Saturday afternoon.

They will be a very different looking team on the backend and the Trouba addition seemed to give the blueliners some life as they held a solid Leafs team to just three goals on Thursday despite giving up some high quality chances.

Columbus will also be starting a young netminder in Jet Greaves, who has started just one game in which he allowed two goals on 37 shots against the top seed Washington Capitals. The Ducks can hopefully pierce the 23-year-old Cambridge native in his second start.
