Lazio spring some surprises with derby squad against Roma

There are a few surprises in the Lazio squad list for tonight’s Derby della Capitale against Roma, because some players who were expected to miss out are included.

It kicks off at the Stadio Olimpico at 19.45 GMT.

The assumption was that Pedro, Matias Vecino and Tijjani Noslin would not even be part of the group, while doubts remained over defender Patric and full-back Manuel Lazzari.

As per tradition with the Aquile, the squad list is only released a few hours before kick-off and it provided a few surprises.

Pedro and Noslin are both present, so in theory could even feature against Roma.

However, Patric is not even part of the group, so will be in the stands with Vecino.

Midfielder Gaetano Castrovilli is also included along with the returning Toma Basic, who had been effectively frozen out.
