Lazio rival two clubs for Casadei and look to Leicester defender

Reports in Italy claim Lazio have resumed talks for Chelsea talent Cesare Casadei, but Monaco and Torino are also negotiating with the Italian starlet.

Lazio have resumed their interest in Casadei and have made new contact with Chelsea in recent days.

Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport say that the 22-year-old is still on the Biancocelesti’s agenda as coach Marco Baroni needs a new central midfielder this month.

Lazio’s Serie A rivals Torino are also in talks for Casadei, while according to Corriere dello Sport, Monaco have also joined the race for the product of Inter’s academy. The Rome-based paper adds that Lazio will surely sign a centre-back this month.

The primary names on the Biancocelesti’s agenda are Wout Faes of Leicester City and Cristhian Mosquera of Valencia. The La Liga side are struggling financially, so Lazio hope to reach an agreement below €20m, especially because the 20-year-old’s contract runs out in June 2026.
