Lazio have reportedly reopened talks with Feyenoord as they continue to explore a possible deal for Calvin Stengs.

The Biancocelesti identified the 25-year-old Dutch midfielder as an interesting option to bolster their squad this summer following the sale of Luis Alberto to Al-Duhail, but a deal stalled due to the failed inclusion of Gustav Isaksen in a possible agreement.

Lazio switched focus to controversial Manchester United man Mason Greenwood, but the English exile won’t come cheap and the club are on track to switch focus, ready to look to other alternatives to add some creativity to Marco Baroni’s squad.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via La Lazio Siamo Noi), Lazio have contacted Feyenoord to continue discussions about Stengs, interested in reaching a deal for the 25-year-old once again.

Whilst Isaksen still likely won’t be included in a deal, the two parties could reach an agreement in a different way. Progress will only come once the Biancocelesti decide to fully give up in their chase of Greenwood.
