Lazio Europa League and Serie A squad lists force cuts
Lazio have announced their final squad for the Europa League, leaving out Gaetano Castrovilli, but Loum Tchaouna is cut from the Serie A list as sacrifices have to be made.
The Aquile are in the new and expanded League Phase of the tournament, which for them begins with Dynamo Kyiv on neutral turf on September 25.
They host Nice on October 3, are away to FC Twente on October 24, welcome FC Porto on November 7 and Ludogorets on November 28, visit Ajax on December 12, host Real Sociedad on January 23 and finish in Braga on January 30.
There were a few doubts for coach Marco Baroni to whittle down the squad for the list, and he has been forced to leave out free agent Castrovilli, who instead is included in the Serie A group.
Curiously, it is another new signing – Tchaouna from Salernitana – who is in the Europa League squad, but has been cut from the Serie A one.
Pedro had been a doubt, but is included in both teams.
Lazio have a very limited selection because there are so few home-grown players, but Under-22 players can be used in the B List.
