Lazio close to signing Arsenal’s Nuno Tavares

Serie A side Lazio are close to signing Arsenal full-back Nuno Tavares, who has previously had a stint in Ligue 1.

Tavares has been previously linked with a move to the Serie A but it now seems as if the move will go through. Alfredo Pedulla has reported that the move is nearly there, with an agreement between Arsenal and Lazio already in place, with the Italian side having agreed an initial loan move with the obligation to buy set at €7 million.

Arsenal have given Lazio a discount of €3 million and personal terms are yet to be agreed, but the parties will be agree them soon. The expectation is that they will be agreed today and Matteo Guendouzi’s presence at Lazio has proved a key factor in the move for the full-back, with the pair having shared the dressing room at both Arsenal and Marseille in the past.
