Many Lazio fans began to lose patience with Immobile across the season, calling for greater usage of Valentin Castellanos, and various rumours began to circulate regarding his future at the club in the build-up to the summer transfer window.

As reported by Corriere dello Sport (via LazioNews24), Immobile wants to start the new season at Lazio with the right attitude, ready to prove himself once again to new coach Baroni.

In the club’s goalscoring rankings, he’s one behind Giorgio Chinaglia in international competitions and six behind Bruno Giordano in the national cups. He also wants to enter the top five appearance makers list, being 31 behind Senad Lulic.
