When is the last time the Bears won a road game on a Sunday?
The Chicago Bears continue to hit new lows under head coach Matt Eberflus, where a 29-9 loss to the Arizona Cardinals seemed to be the stamp on Eberflus' ticket out of town. Following a week of distractions, where players openly questioned coaching decisions, the team came out unprepared and undisciplined and handed the Cardinals an easy win.
Eberflus is now 3-18 on the road, including 0-18 on Sunday road games, with a point differential of -181, which is just unacceptable for a head coach who got another chance after last season's disaster.
Those three road victories came against quarterbacks Bailey Zappe, Sam Howell and Joshua Dobbs with a 33-14 win over the New England Patriots on Monday Night Football (2022), a 40-20 victory over the Washington Commanders on Thursday Night Football (2023) and a 12-10 win over the Minnesota Vikings on Monday Night Football (2023).
But when was the last time the Bears actually won a road game on a Sunday?
You have to go back to the final year of Matt Nagy's tenure, where a four-win Bears squad defeated the Seattle Seahawks, 25-24, on Dec. 26, 2021. Now-retired quarterback Nick Foles led Chicago on a six-play, 80-yard drive in the final minutes, which was capped by a 15-yard touchdown pass to tight end Jimmy Graham with 1:01 remaining. Instead of kicking the extra point for a tie, the Bears went for the win and got it with receiver Damiere Byrd making a miraculous catch for the 2-point conversion.

The Bears went 1-1 in their final two games, finishing 6-11, and Nagy, along with former general manager Ryan Pace, were fired shortly after the team's 31-17 road loss to the Vikings on Jan. 9, 2022.
Chicago has never fired a head coach midseason, and that trend isn't likely to change through eight games. But it certainly feels like the writing is on the wall for Eberflus following these abysmal last two games where it appears that players just aren't buying into the coaches.
If Eberflus is headed out the door after this season, could he end his tenure by finally getting his first road win on a Sunday? For what it's worth, those final Sunday road games are against the Detroit Lions, San Francisco 49ers, Minnesota Vikings and Green Bay Packers.
