Larry Fitzgerald passed two Hall of Famers, now sits third all time in catches
Must be nice to surpass two Hall of Fame receivers on the all-time NFL receptions list in one day. Must also be nice to look up and see only two men above you on the same list.
That’s what Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald accomplished Sunday against the Washington Redskins. With catch No. 1,103, Fitzgerald sits alone at No. 3.
Record-filled day for @LarryFitzgerald!

In a two-quarter span, Fitzgerald passed both Cris Carter (1,101) and Marvin Harrison (1,102) on the list. The only men above Fitzgerald are Tony Gonzalez (1,325) and Jerry Rice (1,549).
Fitzgerald’s sixth catch of the game Sunday moved him past Carter and tied him with Harrison. Then Fitz’s seventh grab of the game moved him into third all alone. In the Cardinals’ 31-23 victory, Fitzgerald caught 10 passes for 78 yards.
Carter congratulated the future Hall of Famer on his accomplishment.
Congrats to @LarryFitzgerald on passing of me on the all time reception list @AZCardinals all the hard work has made you great #RESPECT

Can Fitz catch Gonzalez? It might take two more seasons after this one, and we’re not sure he will stick around that long. But it’s quite the achievement to find only one true wide receiver ahead of Fitzgerald on a vaunted NFL list.
