ARLINGTON, V.A. — The whole group is almost back at MedStar Capitals Iceplex, as Hendrix Lapierre joined the Washington Capitals for informal skates on Wednesday.

Alex Ovechkin was on the ice for a photoshoot earlier in the morning but did not stay on to skate with the group. Dubois also had media day duties in the morning ahead of the skate.

Washington started the skate off with some breakaway drills and 3-on-2 work, putting Lindgren and Thompson to work. Then, the Capitals switched rinks in order to scrimmage and get some more skating work in. Lindgren and Thompson both looked strong, with Lindgren showcasing his quickness, lateral movement and quick glove hand.

All the while, prospects continue to make their way to D.C. This year's draft picks Leon Muggli and Eriks Mateiko were in the building, along with a handful of other rising players who are eager to get on the ice and get work in ahead of their first-ever camp.
