Lane Hutson and Logan Mailloux to Represent Canadiens at NHLPA Rookie Showcase
On Sept 4, the MedStar Capitals Iceplex in Arlington, VA will host the 14th annual NHLPA Rookie Showcase. The event displays top freshman talent from across the NHL, and the Montreal Canadiens will send Lane Hutson and Logan Mailloux as their representatives.

Upper Deck presents the showcase and the players will have their photos taken to make trading cards. The rookies will show off their on-ice skills while scrimmaging with the numerous prospects attending the event. The Habs pair will join names that include Macklin Celebrini, Matvei Michkov, Josh Doan, Easton Cowan and Matt Rempe.
In 38 NCAA games with Boston University last season, Hutson scored 15 goals and registered 49 points before he joined the Canadiens for two games at the end of the campaign. He had two assists and a minus-two rating. He is expected to spend the majority of the 2024-25 season with Montreal.

As for Mailloux, he played with the Laval Rocket in the AHL last season, putting up 47 points in 72 games and representing the Canadiens affiliate at the AHL All-Star Game. Like Hutson, he got to play in Montreal at the end of the season taking part in a single and immediately registering his first point, an assist.
The list of prospects for the showcase is subject to change.
