Lamine Yamal made history on Tuesday when he starred in Spainโ€™s EURO 2024 semi-final victory over France.

At 16 years and 362 days, Yamal became the youngest player to appear in a World Cup or Euro semi-final, surpassing a record previously held by Brazilian legend Pele.

And the youngsterโ€™s brilliant equalising goal in his sideโ€™s 2-1 win also saw him become the youngest goalscorer in European Championship history, among a number of other firsts.

Itโ€™s crazy to think that only a few years ago he was still just a kid, as this footage of him holding hands with former Real Madrid captain Sergio Ramos reminds us.

The tunnel footage comes from a Clรกsico fixture in April 2016, when Yamal was still just nine, but was already at Barcelonaโ€™s academy.

Little did Ramos know at the time, that the young boy he was holding hands with would go on to be a shining star of Spanish football. Life comes at you fast.

Itโ€™s almost as crazy as this photo of Lionel Messi giving baby Yamal a bath.
