Barcelona forward Vitor Roque looks as if he is on his way out of the club this summer, with the Blaugrana trying to clear space in their salary limit, and the €30m Brazilian not part of Hansi Flick’s plans. Getting back the money they paid for him might be a struggle though.

Roque, 19, knows that he will not play if he continues at Barcelona, and Marca say that for that reason, they are convinced he will accept an exit deal at some point. Sporting Director Deco is currently in Lisbon to discuss terms with Sporting CP.

Bournemouth and Everton had enquired about him in recent weeks, but Roque is keen to remain in Spain if possible. That is where Real Betis come into the equation. The same source insist that Real Betis will send their executives to Barcelona on Monday to discuss a deal for Roque, despite Deco not being there.

That journey is at the request of Manuel Pellegrini, who is keen on the Brazilian. Betis are currently in negotiations for Borussia Dortmund’s Youssoufa Moukoko, but will propose a loan with an option to buy to Barcelona, and a fee for a percentage of his rights. Sporting Director Manu Fajardo, CEO Ramon Alarcon and ambassador Joaquin Sanchez are expected to try thrash out a deal.

This seems unlikely to be accepted by Barcelona, especially if the figures being discussed with Sporting are accurate. The Catalan giants are desperate to get some money in to free up space in their salary limit, with star signing Dani Olmo yet to be registered. Roque is seen as one of the key exits in order to progress on that front.
