How Kylian Mbappé reacted to news of Real Madrid youngster Joan Martínez’s ACL injury

An insight into the response of new Real Madrid signing Kylian Mbappé to the serious injury suffered by young teammate Joan Martínez has on Monday been forthcoming.

For those who may have missed it, stopper Martínez was dealt nothing short of a hammer blow late last week.

Fresh off breaking into the first-team picture at Real Madrid at just 16 years of age this summer, the Spaniard was ruled out for what is likely to be the entirety of the campaign.

The latest victim of what is quickly beginning to look like a curse in Madrid, Joan, after being forced out of training, was diagnosed with a torn ACL.

No doubt a heavy shock to the system for such a young player, messages of support have since poured in for Joan, from across the world of football.

Several leading Real Madrid stars have also done their part, with Antonio Rüdiger understood to have accompanied his young teammate to both the hospital, and back to his home last Friday.

And, as alluded to above, on Monday, an insight into the reaction of the latest high-profile addition to Carlo Ancelotti’s squad has too been provided.

As per a report from Marca, Kylian Mbappé ‘was one of the many players who contacted Joan to encourage him and put themselves at his disposal for anything he needed’.

Frontman Mbappé concluded by assuring Joan that ‘we will play together soon’.
