Kansas junior guard AJ Storr scored 15 points on 7-of-9 shooting in the Bahamas National Team’s 93-80 loss to Montenegro on Wednesday at the Greek Basketball Federation’s Acropolis Tournament in Piraeus, Greece.

Montenegro on Wednesday bounced back from Tuesday’s 29-point loss to Greece. Team Bahamas was a chilly 8-of-37 from 3 in Wednesday’s defeat.

Storr, who is from Rockford, Illinois, is eligible to play for the Bahamian National Team because his father, Ambrozino Storr Sr., was born in Nassau, Bahamas.

Bahamas, which has never qualified for the Olympics in a team sport, will battle five other countries for a spot in the Olympics. Bahamas will open with Finland on July 2 and Poland on July 3 in the qualifier.

Last August, Storr averaged 15.0 points and 5.0 rebounds in a pair of Team Bahamas exhibition games against KU. The Jayhawks and Team Bahamas split the pair of games.

The Olympics are set for July 27 to August 11 in Paris, France.
