‘Kroos picked the perfect player’ – Carlo Ancelotti hails Real Madrid star
Real Madrid head coach Carlo Ancelotti has on Sunday evening moved to lavish praise on a leading member of his midfield ranks.
This comes owing to his display in Real’s latest La Liga outing.
Los Blancos marked their return to action a short time ago, playing host to Real Valladolid with sights on a first victory of the new campaign.
And, when all was said and done, this is precisely what they managed, by way of a dominant 3-0 result.
Amongst the goals on the night, meanwhile, was Federico Valverde, whose all-round excellence over the course of the 90 minutes saw the Uruguayan rewarded by way of the Man of the Match prize.
Post-match, his manager was, in turn, keen to single Valverde out for some well-earned praise.
Speaking to the media a short time ago, Carlo Ancelotti went as far as to label his midfield engine ‘irreplaceable’, before backing the choice of Toni Kroos to pass his famed no.8 jersey down to Valverde:
“He continues to progress. He obviously shows a lot more personality. For me it is not difficult to say that he cannot be replaced because of his quality, his strength, his intelligence. It is a blessing to have him. I think that Kroos, when he left the club, chose the perfect player to replace him, not because of his quality, but because of his mentality.”
